I had been trying to go to Las Vegas for years. I have some health issues (not life threatening but life-style threatening). A friend kindly agreed to go with me. I wanted to experience classic, old-school Vegas. While researching the trip, I found out about Matt.

I saw his show in November and I still smile thinking back on that wonderful night. Matt, please don’t under-estimate how much joy you bring to people in your shows.

Matt to be honest I just got to know who you were from the Nascar commercial that you made in 2010, and I fell in love with your voice, then with who you are. I bought your book, CD’s etc. you are a beautiful person with a big heart. My best memory of 2011 was seeing you perform at the nascar race in Vegas you were wonderful. Nov 18, Marine Corps Ball at Flamingo left to Ceasar Palace happen pick Gossy Room, myin Las Vegas husband just sitting on stool in his dress blues when Matt came up to him Thanked him for his service we were in awh not knowing even famous or in his lounge. Our retired Marine Bro said “do you know who that is, no”? He pointed above the bar Matt Goss, our SSgt Bro w/us he ran up got their photo taken w/Matt we had blast that night stayed till 2 am all us wives went there w/our Marines in dress blues couple guys bought them some beers. Happy came across Matt’s lounge, I started listening to his music love it. Made our 236th Birthday even more memorable weekend. Thank You Matt taking moment of your time say Thank You to our Marines & taking photos w/James & his wife Lorena. Now all of us from that night are fans of your music, hoping see you perform sometime n future we will be in Vegas again Nov 2012 definitely going see you in Vegas at that time. My memories of Matt in 2011 were meeting him at the airport when he arrived in the UK and attending both the Royal Albert Hall and Savoy shows. The Savoy was absolutely amazing and something I probably never would have done if it wasn’t for Matt. I really loved seeing Matt again at the Royal Albert Hall, this year I was on the floor about 10 rows back (access to the stage I thought!) how wrong I was.. last year there were ladies galore running up but this year security were too clever! Really enjoyed Justin Lee Collins time spent with Matt and look forward to seeing more of Matt on tv next year and back in the UK soon I hope! xx Listened to Cat among the pigeons and Silent Night just before Christmas, posted the links on my FB account…how beautiful were those songs, how stunning is Matts voice! Came see Matt on October 28th with my family I must admit I did not know much about him having left England in the 80s , But my sister said he was good so we all went along to caesers. I sat near Phillip Schofield.(added bonus). To my surprise i really enjoyed the show the whole family did .The girls got to do the meet and greet and also met Robin and said she was so nice . I have recommend the show to friends that are going to vegas in April.
I also love the ciroc commerical. Good luck for 2012.

Without knowing it Matt gave me an early christmas present in the form of a memory, My mums favorite song this time of year was dreaming of a white christmas and my memory is of her and i watching the film the song came from when i was little.
My mum sadly passed away in january this year but remembering this time i had shared with her was special. Thankyou Matt you’r version of this much loved song is fantastic xxxx

My best memory is being able to meet Matt again after 6 years of waiting. Saw him at the Airport on his way back to Vegas, it was amazing to feel his calming presence and I was able to show him my new tattoo which was one of his lyrics which has seen me through some difficult times. But also I am always amazed by the MGA I have met some amazing and wonderful people this year who have become great friends in good times and bad and if it wasn’t for Matt they wouldn’t be part of my life. This year has been one of the worst of my life but it feels so lovely to know that, like Bros did back in the day, that Matt is out there and happy and still making music for us all, it makes me smile!!!

My birthday was so special this year, with getting tons of lovely greetings from friends, having a beautiful weather while walking around in London, smiling all day long and then in the evening the best part: seeing Matt…:-) He just looked at me and said: ‘Hi gorgeous’…
Normally I can’t be embarrassed so easily, and I’m rather cheeky, but this really made me freeze for a second.:-) But these very special 2 words from him and our little chat after I got defrosted meant the world to me. And I still keep holding on that beautiful memory that feeds my soul and charges my batteries whenever I’m feeling down.
Matt, I do admire your kindness to people and for me the world is a better place because of you.
But you know, I’ll have a birthday in 2012 as well, so I already started wondering what could possibly surpass this year’s memories that include you… Hmmmm.;-)

I can honestly say that i do not have one particular memory that i feel is the best, after stilling my mind, and flashing through mental images i do however realise how many smiles i have shared with some beautiful people in 2011.

From RAH, Beautiful Savoy Ball Room, The Question & Answer time (which make me laugh so much) to the MGA chat room (which makes me laugh harder!!) I am so grateful to have been apart of it all.

Thank you to those of you who helped me create those memories, which i will carry in my heart forever, & here is to creating many more in 2012.

My best memories of 2011 are when I had a little re-tweet or response on one of my messages on Twitter, a follow of Matt that I didn’t really expected but he did thanks Matt! And of course my trip to London I also did in memory to my dearest mum who was suppose to do it with me this year but couldn’t happen due to her illness (cancer)! But I’m very proud I did it, did meet many of my MGA/MGGC, the true friends I have due to Luke & Matt so that felt very good to be there & I think if they weren’t there as well as Matt that I couldn’t have made it like I am right now. Matt I only did see in a rush but I love his rushes esp. the last one. One hour before I had to leave back home, my friends where just so-o excited for me, they’re just so-o amazing friends, friends I gonna trust & cherish for life honestly! For me anyway. I was so-o happy I could say a proper goodbye before I had to leave! Thanks Matt for being there at the right time & right place! I really didn’t needed more than that! Don’t gonna say much more on here, just that it was a time I will treasure forever also in memory of Jacqueline. Much love & hugs XXX

Wow,such brilliant stories by everyone on here. My fave memory of Matt this year has to be seeing his show at the RAH again. I loved it. Would be great to think this will be a yearly event!
After the show i was 1 of the many that waited around the stage door & managed to get a glimpse of him before he left.
Other highlights for me have to be the follow from him on twitter & also hearing Fighting For Love for the 1st time. I constantly had it on repeat (This is something i never do with songs). Shows how much i love the song

This is tough…. 2011 has been a year of Gossy!! Hmmmm…….I have 3 memories.. sorry..

My first memory has to be on my second visit to Vegas this year back in May. Hayley Skelton (@hayleyskelly) talked me into buying and wearing (for a dare) the new ‘I spent the night with Matt Goss’ t-shirt!! so at Saturday night’s show when he changed into his white tuxedo jacket I quickly pulled the t-shirt over my dress and sat there shrinking into my seat on the barge lol… Anyway he came back on stage, looked around saw the t-shirt and gestured for me to come over, I did ignore him the first time lol but he did it again so I got up, walked to the stage and he put his hand out for me to step up! Next thing I knew I was standing next to him, holding his hand and laughing! He raised both our hands up to the audience to show off the t-shirt and said something which I wish I could remember! I’d like to say I was embarrassed but it was the best feeling EVER!! For someone like me who teaches dancing and just loves being on stage ….to stand there with him…well I cannot begin to explain how I felt – it was a defining moment for me, a dream come true, I would love to sing with him next! – I know all the words to ‘Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner’ LOL – up for it Gossy? ;o)

My second memory….seeing him walk into the Lancaster Ballroom at the Savoy without his hat on! OMG OMG OMG OMG…..Eeeeeeeeek! I actually drew breath and stayed like that until I realised I would pass out! Matt is one of the only people that can do that me, I’m not an overly emotional person by nature but I hope he knows however ‘together’ I may look sometimes, I am holding my breath A LOT!! and my heart is pounding….. )

My final memory that will stay with me FOREVER was getting a DM from Matt when my mum got rushed into hospital in September. I remember vividly being outside the hospital and reading it and smiling – no-one else could have made me smile and stay positive like he did. He is just the most giving person anyone could wish to meet, I have been absolutely spoilt by him and everyone around him in so many ways – I couldn’t wish for more…. I just hope that my loyalty to him and everything he does pays back what he gives…

You are my ‘Bright Star’ Matt and and I love you – ‘always’ ;o) xx

I have some wonderful memories of Matt. First of all I live overseas and being able to go to London for his show at RAH was wonderful for me. Then, my wish came true, because I managed to meet Matt. I still remeber his wonderful perfume after hugging me which remained on my dress and on my hair for the whole day. Finally at RAH he smiled at me and kissed my hand, which I will never forget. But Matt brought also some new friends in my life and it was great to meet them at RAH after talking to each other “virtually” on the Forum and Twitter for such a long time. I hope to meet Matt again soon and I hope to be able to talk to him for a while next time. Thank you Matt. I know you meet a lot of people but for us that moment is special and unique. I will never stop loving your music and your world.

ive had a great year 2011! my highlight was my birthday trip to vegas for my 40th! been planned for years! tickets booked for matt goss the year before! actually turned 40 the night we saw him in the “gossy room”!!!! it was the night he celebrated his year anniversary at caesars and put his name in the famous book!!!! he then came round shaking peoples hands….including mine!!!!! didnt wanna wash it again!!!!! had the holiday of a lifetime and dream of going back one day!!!!! xxx

My favorite Matt Goss memory of 2011 is discovering who he is and also hearing his rendition of Silent Night..it brought tears to my eyes. He’s a hell of a talent. I’ve watched his old videos and I can hear how his vocal range has matured. He takes the time to interact with his fans on Twitter. He’s so soft spoken, and all about treating people with kindness and respect. I can be a bit of a hot head at times, and there have been situations where I’ve had to actually say to myself “Civility costs Nothing” and “Kindness is King” to calm down, and it actually works! He’s amazing. I just saw a video on Youtube of him singing acoustically songs from his album “The Key”. ..blew me away. His voice would make the Angels cry. He’s beautiful, he’s charming, he’s humble and he’s incredibly sexy. I look forward to seeing him in Vegas next year. He has really touched my soul.

WELL – What could have turned out really awful turned into a memorable moment for me. That would have to be when my flight was delayed to Vegas this past summer. Friday tickets in hand, scrambled to Ceasars, The show had already started so my husband and I decided to sit at the bar…. ( I couldn’t go in late – how rude!). At the very end Matt walked off stage, looked at me, smiled and waved. I smiled back. My husband tapped me on the shoulder and said very excited “Did you see that! He just waved at you!” LOL That was the best ever! Made friends with the bartender, great music! just the best night!

Did west coast holiday this year finishing in Vegas. Friend who’s big into shows mentioned I should check out what shows to see… Eyes went out on stalks when I seen Matt Goss show and will never live it down that I booked tickets for his show before I actually booked flights! And to top it off Luke was there. Me and my husband were very overwhelmed at how approachable and how much time Matt and Luke had. Matt had so much time for meet and greet asking genuine questions. On way out door Matt tapped husband on shoulder and shook his hand and thanked him for coming. Well above and beyond the call of duty which shows how genuine & down to earth he is. My holiday was definitely finished on a huge high…. And a massive hangover

Thank you Matt Goss for every tweet you have shared with us; for every photo you have posted and for the lovely songs you have created and shared with the fans. My best memory was cracking the code on the watch “13 (M) 7 (G) 1(A)” and then feeling totally BLESSED when you honored me with an RAH watch (thx for defending me as well). You are a true “Class Act” and it has been an honor to follow you. May you have even more success and accomplishments in 2012! I’m really looking forward to your new album. I know it will be a huge success! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

My best memory of Matt is when me and a close friend were visiting Caesars Palace, early november. I just “discovered” him this summer, because of a film I saw of Luke. I googled Luke and ended up with Matt. Love his songs and how he is on the internet!! I realy appreciate the fact I got some dm’s from him, because I’m a newby and didnt expecting this.
But my best memory is when me and my friend were at Caesars, I saw how much she enjoyed the Gossyhorns and she was genuinely happy. First time she truly had fun again after her husband died. Thank you and the Gossyhorns for making my friend sincerely smile again!!! We both loved it so much, that we are planning to go again to Caesars next year.
