It has now been announced that Matt’s new album which is currently being written and recorded, will be produced by Ron Fair. Ron Fair’s vast career in the music industry has spanned over 25 years. His roles in the industry have ranged from musician, songwriter, arranger to recording engineer, producer to A&R/ record executive and to mentoring some of today’s greatest and most talented artists. Ron is a six-time Grammy nominee and was the chairman of Geffen Records. Ron is best known as a “guru/mentor”, guiding the careers of unknown artists and turning them into superstars. Ron has also been recently working on American Idol

Matt will be recording his brand new LIVE songs album in LA tonight with Ron Fair.
The album is being recorded in front of a studio audience. There will be some very lucky people in LA tonight who will get to see Matt recording this album. The LIVE album will feature the songs that Matt sings in his Las Vegas show every weekend. Matt’s fans have been asking for a long time for him to record a LIVE album, well now their wish has come true. This will be 1 album you will definitely want in your CD collection. Imagine playing the new CD in your house at a high volume, it will be just like Matt Goss playing a concert in your home. I can’t wait for this to be released. It would also be great if it was available in time for the fans to buy it at Matt’s upcoming London show in October. So lets keep our fingers crossed it won’t be too long before we are able to buy it!

We have all been shocked and saddened by the recent events in Japan.
After seeing the TV footage of the Tsunami and what the people in Japan are going through right now, Matt spontaneously wrote a song and sang it into his phone for the people of Japan, to let them know he is thinking about them during this time.

English pop star and Las Vegas headliner Matt Goss is getting ready to record the followup to his popular “Gossy” album and plans to have it out before year’s end.

His 2009 record was “emotional and melancholy,” to use his description. “It was made after I came out of a long relationship — 10 years.

Someone told me, ‘Never waste good agony.’ You can usually transform it into some positive energy.”
Now, he says, “I do want to something more upbeat, sexy and swinging. I want to make a really commercial recording. I’m enjoying going back to writing. It feels good to start feeling the sun on your face again, you know?”

The amiable Brit says that after a year and a half of residency at Caesars Palace, he’s found “There’s a real community here. I don’t think people are aware of this feeling of community in Vegas. People here have been so nice to me. Performing in the Gossy room has taught me so much — there’s no margin for error. Some people know me; some don’t,” adds the former Bros boy band member. “You can’t rely on old hits. It’s all about the performance, really.

“The good thing about singing is, when I go onstage, every night, I sing from my heart, and I think that’s why people keep coming back. It’s never the same from one night to another. And I love singing for Americans. It’s an incredible country. I’ve had stars like Kenny Ortega and Natasha Bedingfield come by, and soldiers and Marines as well. I’ve connected with some of those guys on Twitter. It’s an incredible thing to connect with people that way,” he notes.

The down side is Goss has to contend with cigarette smoke and extremely dry desert air. “You’ve heard about the infamous ‘Vegas throat’? It sounds like some sexual connotation, but no, it actually does exist,” he says.

“It’s like drinking a little bit of sand. You really have to stay hydrated to combat it, and do throat-strengthening exercises. I have humidifiers all over the room.”

He’ll be ready for his next return to the U.K., it sounds like. Having recently returned to his homeland to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, he looks forward to doing that again. “It’s one of the most beautiful venues in the world. There’s something about walking into that master suite, the main dressing room, and knowing that everyone from McCartney and Clapton to Sinatra has been in that suite — it’s amazing to know the company that’s been in there.”

Matt has knocked Kylie Minogue off the number 1 spot this week with his song Firefly in the DMC Update Club Charts.

He is also ahead of Usher. Matt has now achieved 3 number 1 places with Firefly.

This is the video to Matt’s song ” LOVELY LAS VEGAS “. It was written for the theme tune for the FOX5 MORE TV show in Las Vegas. Matt also sings this song at his LIVE show in Las Vegas every weekend at Caesars Palace. So if your in Las Vegas, make sure you go along and see his LIVE show, you certainly won’t be disappointed !!
