Matt Goss In The UK Mail On Sunday

Ray 07/02/2010 27

Matt is in the UK Mail on Sunday today.

More than two decades after he last graced the Top Ten with Eighties boy band Bros, you might expect Matt Goss to have faded into obscurity, or to be touring with his old hits, trying to recapture the glory days. But instead he has just been announced as a headline act at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the casino where Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin performed in their prime. Indeed, the former teen idol has already attracted flattering comparisons to the Rat Pack, who epitomised cool in the Sixties.Fittingly, Matt is performing a mixture of Sinatra-era standards and original songs, backed by a troupe of risque dancers called the Dirty Virgins.

Its a shame such talented UK musicians have to cross the pond before they get recognition by the UK press! I think they are slowly getting that Matt is one of the best musicians on the planet!

How cool is that?! Wow, it looks like they starting to notice how much they (i.e. the British press) neglected and abused one of the greatest talents on earth. Good on ya, Matt! It’s about time you got some good press..

Makes me wish the media (especially the radiostations) in my country Holland would pick it up also..Matt should be played on Dutch radio, instead of all those crappy acts with no talent whatsoever.

Thank you Mail Online and Julia Buckley for your review of Matt Goss. I have been to 4 of his shows in Las Vegas and he always delivers a fantastic show! He mixes it up with different songs at each show, so each time is a new experience. I hope that you will one day be able to head over to Las Vegas and experience one of his performances. His voice is incredible and he is very entertaining. I was fortunate to be in the audience when Nicole Scherzinger (lead singer of the Pussy Cat Dolls) made a guest appearance. Matt and Nicole sang a beautiful duet together. Thank you again for allowing Matt to move on from the Bros days and showcase his talent as a solo performer.
    Sincerely,
    Karen from the USA

Nothing Better than having the Last Laugh :@)

To all those in the Media who have given Matt a rough time or simply would not give him the time of day. What a wrong move!
I hope now The British Media are waking up to Such a talented gentleman & make up for lost time in backing Matt to the Very Top. He deserves it.

    Hiya there
Well yes it is certainly nice to see somthing positive written about Matt, wonder how he is getting on now. Was tempted to go see him a while ago cos there was fairly cheap fares from Dublin, but boyfriend won’t bring me there, so that was an end of him. Anyone see him in that nightclub in LA?
Jean (still devoted after 20 odd years!!
